Pendant lamps for a restaurant interior — Cascais.

take-two designed and built a set of four pendant lamps for Alegria Vadia, a restaurant in Cascais, Portugal. Each lamp was modelled in CAD, 3D-printed in PLA, then sanded and painted by hand before installation. The commission is one of the studio's occasional design projects: take-two is a 3D scanning, engineering, and printing studio whose main work is custom replacement parts — marine fittings, home hardware, and parts for classic cars and motorcycles that are broken, discontinued, or impossible to source. The same process behind those parts — CAD modelling, material selection, review before printing, hand finishing — produced these lamps. From the brief to the dining room.

01 — Brief

Alegria Vadia, a restaurant in Cascais, commissioned a set of four pendant lamps for its interior.

02 — Design

Design.

The lamps were modelled in CAD and 3D-printed in PLA — the right material for an indoor visual piece.

03 — Finish

Finish.

Each lamp was sanded and painted by hand. Nothing ships fresh off a print bed.

04 — Install

Install.

Delivered and installed in the restaurant, where the set hangs today.
